Degree programmes in English

One of the significant effects of the many years’ activity of the Faculty of Electronics aiming towards improving the quality of education provided by it is the development and implementation of curriculum concepts for 2 cycle degree programmes in the English language. It allowed the faculty to open to the world by making it possible for a larger number of foreign students to pursue their studies and created a basis for an “elite” form of education for very talented Polish students. The concept and implementation works took a few years and involved the participation of foreign experts being friends to the Faculty. It was based on many years’ international cooperation with partner faculties, chiefly from universities in English-speaking countries (the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand).

As a result, the Faculty of Electronics offers 4 specialisations delivered in English to 2nd cycle students, including “Advanced Applied Electronics” (AAE – degree programme - Electronics), “Advanced Informatics and Control” (AIC – degree programme Informatics), “Internet Engineering” (INE – degree programme - Informatics), and “Embedded Robotics” ( AER – degree programme - “Automatics and Robotics”).

Moreover, in the academic year 2016/2017, a new 1st cycle degree programme delivered in English was introduced - “Electronic and Computer Engineering”. This new programme in English was created in mind with electronics enthusiasts who want to know “how it works”.

Graduates all of the five specialisations are well prepared for work in international environments, as studying in English broaden their practical language skills, while the participation in seminars and workshops delivered by specialists from well-established universities and companies based in Poland, Europe and other parts of the world ensures the obtainment of relevant competencies.
