The scientific circle JEDI is open to students and employees of Wrocław University of Science and Technology fascinated by unmanned airborne platforms (commonly referred to as drones). Our interests primarily focus on autonomous multi-rotor helicopters - their construction, software, control, and signal processing algorithms. We contribute to the creation of the future where unmanned helicopters will be a useful tool serving all of us. We take part in Polish and international competitions related to unmanned technologies.

Our scientific circle’s activity focuses on the promotion of best programming practices among students. Our key project is the own-developed C# programming course attracting as many as 200 people every year. People who meet all requirements can take an examination whose passing is attested with a certificate known by many Wrocław companies.

LabVIEW Fan Group is a students’ non-profit organisation active at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Department of Electronic and Photonic Metrology. Our members are students and employees of Wrocław University of Science and Technology interested in LabVIEW programming and enthusiasts of the environment from outside of our university. Our group includes both people who begin their venture into the world of G programming and professional programmers boasting CLD and CLA certificates.

LabVIEW Fan Group activity involves regular substantive meetings where we share knowledge and experiences related to programming in G. We also carry out projects in the area of information acquisition and processing and conduct cyclic training sessions whose aim is to prepare the participants for certificate examinations held by the company National Instruments that attest to the holder’s proficient LabVIEW skills.

What we consider to be our most important project is the Polish Championships of LabVIEW Programmers, first held in 2012. The event has two key goals: to integrate the milieu of LabVIEW programmers and, obviously, choose the best of them. Over the course of the championships, where the best of students have an opportunity to compete against professionals, the Student LabVIEW Programming Champion of Poland is selected, and ultimately - Poland’s Best LabVIEW Programmer!

Jesteśmy kołem naukowym podlegającym Katedrze Metrologii Elektronicznej i Fotonicznej. Zapraszamy!

One of the biggest scientific circles of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the over 300-strong TK Games was set up in 2012. We teach everybody from scratch to make computer games for mobile, VR and AR devices, as well as organise advanced workshops for the more initiated. Also, we organise game jams where games are developed in 48 hours and cooperate with the biggest game dev companies (Techland, Ten Square Games, Picadilla, The Knights of Unity, T-bull, Whitemoon, Tequila Games, and other ones). Our meetings are divided into three main theme-specific groups: Programming (Unity and Unreal Engine), Graphics (2d, 3d, FX and animation) Game Design (game design and level design). The meetings are held from 5 to 8 times a week, so everybody has an opportunity to find a date that suits them. Don’t hesitate and come!

Students’ scientific circle Traf-Barak is a follow-up to the circles named TRAF and BARAK, whose history spanned many years. Building up on the experience of specialists, we conduct research and projects related to virtual technologies in medicine. Our members include students, doctoral students, and employees of our University. Currently, we’re carrying out research works related to the applications of latest studies in the fields of IT, automatics, and robotics used for medical purposes. We’re working on the practical use of virtual reality in areas such as simulated laparoscopic surgery, 3D graphics, and Motion Capture related research. We own professional devices and cooperate with academic units from all over the world, including Wrocław University of Medicine, CBR PJATK, University of Arizona, the University of Technology of Sydney, and Northern Arizona University. We organise meetings and training sessions with professors of technical sciences hailing from renowned universities - Professor Jerzy W. Rozenblit, Professor Ray Yueh-Min Huang, and Professor Atsushi Ito, to name but a few. We publish in acclaimed trade-oriented magazines and take part in internships and international conferences. Our projects can be used as bases for degree theses. Are you interested? Please contact us: traf.barak@gmail.com You’re more than welcome to join us!

White-Hats is a scientific circle founded in 2018, where students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology can learn about various aspects of cybersecurity (most of them is highly beyond the study program). Our goal is not only spreading knowledge on how to be safe on the Internet but also obtaining together specific skills desired in the labor market of the IT security sector.

We focus mainly on:
 - Pentester Course - students can learn here some practical skills and see a glimpse of what it is like to be a penetration tester
 - Security after hours - a monthly open series of meetings where we talk about latest cybersecurity news
 - Tournaments - our team proudly represents us in the most popular hacking tournaments (CTFs - Capture The Flag; A&D - Attack And Defence)

We are also organizers of Break The Syntax CTF - the event addressed to students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (maybe wider group in the future) which first edition was already highly popular among students.

The scientific circle named Wireless Group has been active at the Department of Teleinformatics and Telecommunications since 2007, attracting enthusiasts of broadly understood wireless networks. Among our interests are issues related to fields such as LTE, LTE-Advanced, WiMAX, and WiFi, as well as  Software Defined Radio (SDR), Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA), Cognitive Radio, Mesh Networks, Sensor Networks, MIMO, Beamforming, Femtocells, i.e. all without which the development of wireless networks would be impossible. We’re the only organisation operating under the auspices of Wrocław University of Science and Technology that focuses on wireless networks, so we’re keen to provide advice and help to any other students’ organisations. Reliable WiFi? Only with Wireless Group.
