Scientific interests:

  • mechanics of materials and structures, material and geometrical nonlinearities, contact problems;
  • historical masonry, mathematical description, statics, and dynamics of masonry;
  • seismic and paraseismic (mining zones) resistance of structures;
  • interaction of fire and mechanical (static and dynamic) loading;
  • nonlinear soil-structure interaction.

Engineering work:

  • structural design of industrial and bridge structures in seismic zones;
  • geotechnical engineering in seismic zones;
  • numerical modelling and structural design of composite steel-soil bridges;
  • static and dynamic analysis of historical objects, including the Royal Palace in Genoa
  • Unlimited Building License in Engineering, Specialty: Bridges

Achievements:

  • Rector Prize for work on behalf of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, June 2012
  • First-ranked graduate of 2013 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, WUST, Wrocław
  • Grant Plus Scholarship; Issued by Lower Silesian Marshal Office; October 2014
  • grant co-executor: The Getty Foundation (LA, USA). Keeping It Modern: Architectural Conservation Grants; delivered task: nonlinear numerical model of reinforced concrete dome: Centennial Hall in Wrocław;
  • Fulbright Junior Advanced Research Award; Issued by Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission; scientific internship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Masonry Research Group (prof John Ochsendorf), IX.2016 - II.2017;
  • Leader of research grant MINIATURA 8 (National Science Center): Reliability of fire partition walls in combined load case of fire conditions and dynamic random impact loading.
