Unit: Faculty of Civil Engineering » Department of Geotechnology, Hydro Technology, and Underground and Hydro Engineering

OFFICE HOURS MON - 9:00-11:00, room 119 D-2

If you are a student and would like to join scientific work, please contact me!

My current research interests are probabilistic methods in geotechnical engineering, modelling the spatial variability of soil, foundation bearing capacity, slope stability analysis.

Recently I have been working on the stability of lunar lava tubes. My first paper on this subject was recently published in Icarus, you can read about the conducted research in a popular sciense article or listen on radio broadcasts [in Polish], Radio 357 in PartonautykaRadio Rodzina or Radio Wrocław

I received my engineering degree and my master's degree from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in 2012 and 2013, respectively. My doctoral dissertation concerned the application of random field theory and multi-block failure mechanisms for the assessment of the bearing capacity of direct foundations accounting for the spatial variation of soil parameters. After obtaining my PhD in 2018, I have been working on the creation and development of novel methods for the optimal placement of soil soundings for foundation design and new approaches for considering soil spatial variability in foundation bearing capacity and slope stability assessment.

I am pleased to be a member of Academia Iuvenum (2023-2025) and a member of the Engineering Practice of Risk Assessment and Management Committee (TC304) of the ISSMGE.

You can find more details about my research work in my CV, on my home page and Web of Science or Scopus.
